Systems Engineer - DoD Medical Devices
Edaptive Computing, Inc. (ECI) is currently seeking a System Engineer – DoD Medical Devices. Edaptive Computing Systems Engineer interfaces with users, sponsors and all stakeholders to determine needs and strategically architects, designs, and leads development of medical devices to ensure that the solution matches customer requirements. The Systems Engineer applies proven problem-solving, analytical and communication skills to identify, communicate, and resolve system design, development, test and manufacturing issues. The Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for design, configuration management, human systems integration, logistics management, safety, test and evaluation and manufacturing of medical devices required by the DoD. The Systems Engineer also and provides consulting and guidance
to the Program Manager, Business Manager and other Engineers on the project.
Principally ensures all aspects of DoD Systems Engineering principles are applied during the program.
Works as a member of project teams to gather customer requirements and implement designs to meet those requirements.
Works as a member of project teams to mentor and guide project engineers in implementation of hardware and software design.
Prepares and communicates deliverables as a member of a project team, including specifications, design, and reporting.
Provides vision and leadership to the engineering teams design, development, testing and manufacturing of medical devices.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, systems engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 1+ years in a non-IT Systems Engineer role.
A minimum of 3+ years in device design, development or engineering role.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest systems engineering advances.
Capability to work independently and as a member of a project team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly present design proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in the Department of Defense Systems Engineering processes.
Experience directing others as a lead engineer or equivalent role.
Experience / Knowledge of the following tools/technologies/methodologies:
Human Systems Integration.
Test and Evaluation (Developmental).
Test and Evaluation (Operational).
