Edaptive Computing, Inc.(ECI) is currently seeking a Software Engineer-Java Enterprise. Edaptive Computing Software Engineer develops, and tests enterprise Java applications. The Software Engineer works with software requirements and design artifacts to develop application code in an enterprise Java application environment. The Software Engineer applies problem-solving, analytical and communication skills to successfully implement application code on time and on budget.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Develop and test enterprise Java web applications.

Works as a member of project teams to gather customer requirements and implement designs to meet those requirements.

Ensures the balance, consistency, integrity, fit and simplicity of software systems through the use of best practice software design patterns.

 

Qualitative Requirements:

 

Some Knowledge software engineering best practices and techniques.

Some Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.

Capability to work independently and as a member of a project team.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

2+ years in a software development or engineering role.

Intermediate understanding of Java Enterprise software architecture components and patterns.

Intermediate understanding of Java Enterprise APIs:

Java Persistence API (JPA)

Enterprise Java Beans (EJB)

Java Server Faces (JSF)

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

Java Enterprise Edition 6 (JEE).

JBOSS AS 7 Enterprise Java Application Server

PrimeFaces JSF Web Application Component Library.

Apache Maven configuration management.

Apache Jenkins continuous integration.

Automated unit testing.

Automated integration testing.

Test Driven Development.

Eclipse / NetBeans Java IDE.
