Job Description:

 

Edaptive Computing, Inc. (ECI) is currently seeking a Junior C#/ASP.NET Software Engineer. The Edaptive Computing Junior Software Engineer develops and tests enterprise C#/ASP.NET applications.

Dayton, Ohio

Primary Responsibilities:

 

• Develop, and test enterprise C#/ASP.NET web applications
• Works as a member of project teams to implement designs to meet customer requirements
• Stay current on trending development technologies and offer ideas for improvement to systems and processes

 

Qualitative Requirements:

 

• Some knowledge software engineering best practices and techniques
• Some knowledge of software design patterns and best practices
• Capability to work independently and as a member of a project team
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excitement and eagerness to learn new technology
• Desire to work in an Agile software development environment

 

Educational and Experience Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Computer Science degree or technical training in computer programming
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages
• Some understanding of C#/ASP.NET Enterprise software architecture components and patterns

 

Enhancing Qualifications:

 

• HTML/CSS (LESS or SASS)
• JavaScript
• Entity Framework
• Web API
• Visual Studio experience (coding, debugging, etc.)
• Web Forms and/or MVC
• Designing applications for cloud deployments
• Automated/scripted testing platforms
• Test Driven Development.
• SQL Server
• XML and/or JSON familiarity
• Source Control (Git or SVN)
