Job Description:

 

Edaptive Computing, Inc. (ECI) is currently looking for a DoD Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME). Acquisition SME may support project management activities. Under the direction of the program manager or technical manager, the Acquisition SME provides life cycle acquisition support (application, implementation and tailoring of relevant statutory, regulatory and local acquisition policies and guidelines) to management and project teams, project technical guidance concerning current Government acquisition processes and methods.   Duties include conducting a variety of research, assimilate and integrate information and policy, and develop baseline and foundation level documentation to support acquisition related projects.  Assist in creating reports and presentations using a variety of office productivity tools.

Education:

 

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline required

 

Experience:

 

Strong oral and written communication skills. At least 2 years of relevant work experience which includes: 1) Executing cost, schedule, performance, and risk activities within the acquisition lifecycle framework; 2) Coordinating acquisition support activities necessary to meet program objectives; and 3) Lead the development of program management documentation, such as: System Integrated Program Management Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Program Baselines, Acquisition Decision Memorandums, Milestone Review Documents, and/or Life Cycle Cost.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated experience within a Government acquisition program office, DoD acquisition processes and procedures, coordinating with senior management, and facilitating a team’s efforts

• Proficiency with MS Office software products

 

Enhancing Skills:

 

• PMP Certification

• MBA

• Recent (within the past 3 years) relevant experience within a Government acquisition program office and development of RFP and ACAT 1 program documentation

• Acquisition Certification Level III in Life Cycle Logistics
